We will depart mid-morning from Fez, traveling through the Middle Atlas mountain region of Morocco to reach the Saharan desert town of Merzouga. Along the way we’ll pass through a couple points of interest: Ifrane, considered the “Switzerland” of Morocco, and Azrou, a forested area where you can feed the local monkeys. From here we’ll continue to Midelt for lunch and then follow the Ziz River through the valley, passing the Ziz Gorge on our way.
Once in Merzouga we’ll get you settled in the hotel and enjoy a Berber style dinner.

Along the way you’ll stop to watch the sunset, and then we’ll continue on to your desert tent where you’ll be staying for the night. Once you are settled in, we’ll serve you a traditional tajine dinner. To finish the evening, our guides will play Berber music around the fire while you watch the stars over the incredible desert landscape.
