Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
We begin our journey early from Marrakech, crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Along the way, we stop to admire panoramic views of Berber villages and terraced hillsides that define Morocco’s mountain landscapes.
Ait Ben Haddou – UNESCO World Heritage Site
Our first major highlight is Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village renowned for its traditional earthen architecture. This historic ksar has served as the setting for numerous international films and remains one of Morocco’s most iconic cultural treasures. We explore its narrow alleys, climb to the top for panoramic views, and experience centuries of preserved heritage.
Ouarzazate – Gateway to the Desert
