We depart early from Marrakech and begin our journey across the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, which rises to over 2,260 meters above sea level. Along the way, we stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking traditional Berber villages built into the mountainsides.

Ait Ben Haddou – UNESCO World Heritage Site

We visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village known for its impressive earthen architecture and cinematic history. This UNESCO-listed ksar offers a fascinating glimpse into Morocco’s past. We explore its narrow alleys, climb to the top for panoramic views, and enjoy time for photography.

Ouarzazate – The Gateway to the Sahara

Our route continues through Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” We pass by Kasbah Taourirt and enjoy the surrounding desert landscapes before heading toward the Valley of Roses and the beautiful Dades Valley.

We spend the night in a charming hotel in Dades Valley surrounded by dramatic red rock formations and lush palm groves.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we continue toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs rise dramatically above a narrow riverbed. We take time to walk through the gorge and admire its natural beauty.

We then pass through Erfoud, famous for its fossil craftsmanship, before reaching Merzouga, located at the edge of the Sahara Desert.

Day 3: Full Desert Exploration – Nomads – Gnawa Music – Oasis Visit

On the third day, we dedicate our time to exploring the Sahara region in depth.

We wake early to witness the magical sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, we return by camel or 4×4 to the village of Merzouga.

We explore the surrounding desert area by 4×4 vehicle, visiting:
