Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

We depart from Marrakech and cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters). Along the way, we stop to admire panoramic mountain views and traditional Berber villages.

Ait Ben Haddou – UNESCO Heritage Site

We explore Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified ksar known for its remarkable earthen architecture and cinematic history. Walking through its ancient alleys offers a fascinating glimpse into Morocco’s caravan trade past.

We continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where we spend the night.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we visit the lush palm groves of Skoura and the historic Kasbah Amridil. We continue through the Valley of Roses and reach the stunning Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations and winding roads.

We overnight in a charming hotel surrounded by dramatic desert landscapes.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

We travel to the spectacular Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs rise dramatically above a narrow river. After a walk through the gorge, we continue toward Erfoud and finally reach Merzouga, located near the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi.

We visit nomadic families living in traditional tents and stop in Khamlia village to experience Gnawa music. We explore desert oases and enjoy panoramic dune viewpoints.

In the late afternoon, we begin our camel trek across the golden dunes. Watching the sunset from the top of Erg Chebbi is a magical highlight of the journey.

We arrive at our desert camp for dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Draa Valley

We wake early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise before returning by camel to Merzouga.

After breakfast, we visit Rissani’s traditional market, known for its authentic desert atmosphere. We continue through the vast Draa Valley, lined with endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs.

We spend the night in the Draa Valley region.

Day 6: Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we drive back toward Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas Mountains once more. Scenic stops allow us to enjoy panoramic views before returning to Marrakech in the evening.

Day 7: Marrakech Sightseeing

On our final day, we explore Marrakech’s historic highlights, including:
